In this phase of the process, we weigh your options: exit vs. growth. After the valuation, we may discover the business is not primed for sale at the moment, so we explore different avenues to enhance the firm’s overall value.
During the process, an owner may decide that capital growth will serve in the best interest of the business in the short term, while priming the business for sale is a longer-term strategy. Valuation
The first step in assessing your exit strategy or growth plan for your business is setting a market valuation. At Nomad Capital we take a careful look at market comparable transactions, discounted cash flow, and capitalization of earnings to assess your firms’ true valuation in the comparable market.
Oftentimes the dollars of earnings are not always representative of the intangible assets that also provide value to your business (e.g. brand awareness, talent, physical and digital footprint, distribution, customer database, intellectual property, etc.) It’s our job to put a price tag on what those intangible assets are worth before the strategic planning phase.
